Dan Ugaste Endorsed By Illinois Firefighters Association

GENEVA – State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-65) has been formally endorsed by the Associated Firefighters Of Illinois (AFFI) for the November 8, 2022 general election. The support from the AFFI was announced last week by AFFI Legislative Committee members Chuck Sullivan (AFFI President), Steve Shetsky (AFFI Northern District Legislative Representative), Jeff Maher (AFFI Central District Legislative Representative) and Brant Maine (AFFI Southern District Legislative Representative).

“As a former part-time volunteer firefighter in a small Illinois community, I am honored to be endorsed by the full-time professionals who risk their lives every day to keep us safe,” said Ugaste. “It’s not often you get to be endorsed by people whose big rubber boots you got to walk in. I experienced a little of how these dedicated professionals operate and I can tell you that no citizen of Illinois appreciates the courage it takes to run into a burning building knowing you may not come out.”

The Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois represents over 15,000 professional fire fighters in 224 locals throughout the state.
